Will full payment need to be made before enrolment?
Yes, in order to enrol on this course, the full course cost will need to be made (including your student membership fee of £25 for The Guild of Beauty Therapists if required).
How soon after enrolling can I start the course?
Once you have enrolled on the course and paid the course fee you will have immediate access to the online course modules which means you can start learning straight away. We aim to provide practical training within three weeks of completion of the theory aspect of this course.
How long will it take me to complete this course?
The time is takes to complete the course will depend on how quickly you learn as an individual, and the number of hours per day you spend on it. Please refer to the recommended study and practical time for your specific course choice. Case studies may be required to complete after your practical training day. If requested these will need to complete within the timeframe specified by your tutor and completed in order to complete the full course.
Is there a time limit for completing this course?
No there is no time limit. However, once your online theory is all complete and passed you will need to do your practical. If case studies are required your tutor will specify a time frame for these with you personally.
Is the course accredited?
This course is fully accredited by The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for membership and Insurance and follows the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for beauty, nails and holistic.

All our courses have access to phone & email support from fully qualified therapists and tutors there to help guide you every step of the way.
Do I need anything special on my computer?
You will need to have a modern web browser.
How will the course be marked?
Following each course module, you will take an online examination which requires a pass rate of around 70%. For the practical module you will need to demonstrate that you can perform the outlined tasks to the skill level required. If case studies are requested, you will need to complete the consultation forms for these and supply evidence to your tutor.
Am I allowed to refer to text books or notes during the examination?
No. You are expected to complete online tests under exam conditions without referring to any notes, textbooks or online help.
What if I fail a module?
If you fail a module you have the ability to re-take the examination twice. If you fail a module you will be contacted by the tutor who will offer support before making the final attempt.
What if I fail the practical assessment?
Your tutor will work with you on your first assessment day to guide you and support you however if you do fail you will need to arrange another day of training with us where your practical assessment will be completed again (you can do this once without charge and will be given dates to come back again). You will also be asked to complete case studies to help ensure you’re practising to the required level.
Do I need to complete any paperwork?
All examinations are completed online, and a record of your mark is displayed in your login area. When you complete your practical module, you may need to fill out your details as well as a review form. Consultation forms will also need to be completed and evidence provided (including photographs) for case studies.
What will I receive when I complete this course?
You will receive a certificate which will be emailed to you on successful completion of this course. You can also request a paper copy of this certificate to be sent to you at a cost of £15.
